Faculty/Staff Ticket Policies
Football
Eligible University of Georgia faculty, staff, and retirees may purchase up to two (2) Georgia Football season tickets during the renewal period each spring (typically March 1-April 1). Faculty, staff, and retirees who had season tickets for the previous season will be eligible to renew their previous seasons tickets.
Faculty and staff who 1) requested season tickets the previous season and did not receive them or 2) were hired from January 1st to December 31st of the previous season, will be eligible to request season tickets for the current season during the renewal period. When submitting the request, faculty and staff will provide a credit card to be charged only if their ticket order is fulfilled. Following the request deadline, seats will be allocated based on years of service (most to fewest).
Faculty and staff classified as 100% full time equivalency by HR at UGA are eligible to receive the faculty and staff discount on season tickets. Additionally, faculty and staff who did not renew or request season tickets continuously during their time at UGA are no longer eligible to purchase football season tickets.
Current Faculty/Staff season ticket holders who retire from the University may continue to purchase tickets at the faculty/staff rate.
To retain UGA Athletic tickets in retirement, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- complete at least 20 years of creditable UGA service AND be age 60 or older
- complete 30 years of creditable service, with the University of Georgia, regardless of age
IMPORTANT!: Faculty/Staff football season ticket holders who are retiring prior to the 2025 football season must contact their departmental personnel office and have Form 104 (Eligible Retired Personnel) completed and sent to the UGA Ticket Office. This form is available online HERE. This form must be completed and sent to UGA Human Resources for classification by April 1st of the corresponding spring renewal period. A ticket application will not be available unless this form is completed and submitted properly. Upon the death of the retired Faculty/Staff season ticket holder, the surviving spouse may continue to purchase Faculty/Staff tickets as a Dependent Survivor only if he or she is also a UGA retiree.
Full-time Faculty/Staff members who are eligible can purchase up to two (2) season tickets, discounted 50% off the base ticket price for football.
Availability of additional single home and away game tickets will be shared at a later date. To be eligible to request single game tickets, you must renew or request football season tickets. All single game tickets are at full price, and faculty/staff will not receive a discount.
Availability of postseason tickets will be shared at a later date. To be eligible to request postseason tickets, you must have football season tickets. All postseason tickets are at full price, and faculty/staff will not receive a discount.
Non-Football
Eligible University of Georgia faculty and staff members may purchase up to two (2) season tickets to UGA men’s basketball, women’s basketball, gymnastics, baseball, and softball, subject to availability. Staff will receive a discount of 50% off the base ticket cost.
Eligible UGA faculty and staff members who had season tickets for the previous season may renew their same seat locations during the following windows:
Men’s Basketball: Typically August 1st – September 1st
Gymnastics: Typically October 15th – November 15th
Baseball/Softball: Typically December 1st – January 3rd
Women’s Basketball tickets are not available on a seasonal basis, but Faculty/Staff can receive complimentary tickets at the ticket office window on game day.
Eligible staff who do not have season tickets to any of the non-football sports are eligible to purchase during the renewal windows. Staff will be able to purchase the below sports either online by logging in to their faculty and staff account or by calling 706-542-1231, ext. 2. Seating will be allocated based on a staff member’s hire date.

Softball: Available
Faculty/Staff do not receive a discount on single game tickets; tickets are sold at face value for any sports except women’s basketball. For women’s basketball, faculty and staff can receive complimentary tickets at the ticket office window on game day.
Selling faculty/staff tickets is strictly prohibited. Any faculty/staff member who sells or attempts to sell their tickets is in violation of the policy, and this will result in revocation of all tickets and eligibility for future purchases. Faculty/staff tickets are not eligible for re-sale on SeatGeek.
*Due to the discount exceeding 20%, the Internal Revenue Code (Section 1.61-21[5]) provides that discounts to employees that exceed 20% for goods and/or services are taxable as compensation to employees and must be reported for tax purposes. The Internal Revenue Service is applying the 20% discount rule to the sale of tickets to athletic events. Faculty and staff receive a discount of 50% off the regular price of season tickets; therefore, as required by law, 30% of the regular price will be reported on the employee’s W-2 form as taxable income. Social Security, federal and state taxes on this discounted amount will be withheld if applicable from the employee’s November and December paychecks. If an employee separates from UGA prior to November, the discounted amount will be grossed up in order to deduct the applicable Social Security, federal and state taxes for a zero net check and will be reported on the W-2 form.
