Accessibility

The University of Georgia (UGA) recognizes the needs of persons with disabilities, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. In addition, UGA strives to accommodate the individual needs of guests with disabilities.

The following information contains both general and UGA venue-specific accessibility information.

General Accessibility

Foley Field (Baseball)


Prior to game day, guests can exchange tickets for accessible seating (above sections 104, 105, 107, 108) at the UGA Ticket Office in person or by calling (706) 542-1231.

On game day, guests may visit the ticket office outside of the stadium (located behind home plate) to exchange any ticket for accessible seating or locate an usher in the main seating area after entering the facility. Accessible seat exchanges will be completed on a first come, first served basis. Overflow accessible seating is also located in the right field terrace area.

Sanford Stadium (Football)


Season Ticket Exchange
Season ticket holders who would like to move their current season tickets to one of our designated accessible seating areas may do so by calling the UGA Ticket Office at (706) 542-1231.

Lower-Level Exchange:
Season ticket holders with adjacent season tickets currently in the 100 or 200 level of Sanford Stadium will be permitted to exchange their season tickets for accessible seating in the lower level pending availability.Season ticket holders with 300 level seats and 39,405 cumulative priority points or higher with a qualifying per seat contribution will be permitted to exchange their season tickets for accessible seating in the lower-level pending availability. (The 2024 seating cutoff for adjacent seats in the lower level was 37,485 cumulative priority points)

Upper-Level Exchange:
All other season ticket holders will be permitted to exchange their season tickets for accessible seats in the 600-level pending availability.

Season Ticket Holder Additional Home and Away Game Requests
Season ticket holders who request additional home or away game tickets and need accessible seating will have the opportunity to specify these needs on their single game ticket application. All single game requests will be filled based on availability.Individual Game Ticket Exchange Before Game (Recommended)
If accessible seating is needed (whether the tickets were purchased from the UGA Ticket Office or otherwise acquired), all ticket holders will be granted the opportunity to exchange their current tickets to any game in advance for seats located in the designated accessible seating areas beginning by calling the University of Georgia Ticket Office at (706) 542-1231.

Lower-Level Exchange:
Guests with tickets currently in the 100 or 200 level of Sanford Stadium will be permitted to exchange their tickets for accessible seats in the lower-level pending availability.Upper-Level Exchange:
All ticket holders with seats located in the 300 or 600 level will be permitted to exchange their tickets for accessible seating in the 600-level pending availability.

Please Note:
Customers will be able to purchase accessible tickets directly from the ticket office for any games currently on-sale to the general public.

Game Day Exchanges
If accessible seating is needed (whether the tickets were purchased from the UGA Ticket Office or otherwise acquired), all ticket holders may exchange their tickets at Sanford Stadium on game day for accessible seating by visiting one of the game day ticket office locations. All seating locations will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.West End Ticket Office: Located across from Gate 2 directly next to the UGA Bookstore.
East End Ticket Office: Located between Gates 5 and 6 on East Campus Road.

Single Game Ticket Sales
UGA will offer single game tickets for accessible seats and companion seats based on availability.

Requests for accessible and companion seating should be submitted with any order. Single game accessible seats may only be purchased for games in which ticket inventory is already on sale to the general public. Accessible seats for sold out games may not be purchased on a single game basis.

Student Ticket Exchanges
All students in need of accessible seats will be able to indicate this need on their student ticket request. Once tickets are awarded, a representative from the ticket office will contact you.

Any students registered with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) in need of a companion ticket may purchase them from the ticket office at the student rate for any awarded games.

Stegeman Coliseum (Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Volleyball)


Season Tickets
Season tickets for guests and their companion(s) in accessible seating areas are available; please contact the University of Georgia Ticket Office at (706) 542-1231.

Single Game Tickets
Single game tickets in accessible seating areas are available for purchase; tickets are subject to availability.

Exchanges
If accessible seating is needed (whether the tickets were purchased from the UGA Ticket Office or otherwise acquired), all ticket holders will be granted the opportunity to exchange their current tickets. Tickets may be exchanged in advance of the game on a first-come, first-served basis by calling the University of Georgia Ticket Office at (706) 542-1231.

In-person exchanges can be made at the University of Georgia Ticket Office until 4 p.m. on the day of the game or at Stegeman Coliseum Will Call beginning one hour prior to the game.

Guests may exchange any ticket for accessible seating (Sections A, B, C, L, N, V, W, and Tunnel 3 by Court Level); accessible seat exchanges will be completed on a first come, first served basis.

Service Animals (any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability) are permitted in all athletic facilities. As noted in the University of Georgia Service Animals and UGA Animal Policy, when the policy refers to “dogs” in the context of Service Animals, the references also include miniature horses.

Service Animals in Training (dogs that are being trained by a trainer identified as an agent or employee of an entity specialized in training dogs to become service animals) are also permitted but must wear a collar, leash, or other appropriate apparel or device that identifies the dog as a Service Animal in Training.

Emotional Support Animals (any animal providing emotional support, well-being, or comfort that eases one or more identified symptoms or effects of a documented disability) or pets (any animal kept for ordinary use and companionship that does not meet the definition of a Service Animal or Service Animal in Training) are not permitted.

Per the University of Georgia Service Animals and UGA Animal Policy, owners will be asked to remove any animal if it is out of control and the owner does not take effective and immediate action to control it. Additionally, any animal that poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others that cannot be reduced or eliminated by reasonable modifications is not permitted in any athletic facility or on campus.

Venue Accessibility

Parking


Single game accessible parking is available at the East Deck on River Road. Complimentary shuttles equipped with ramps or lifts to be wheelchair accessible run continuously from this location beginning 3-1/2 hours prior to kickoff and will drop off outside Gate 6 of Sanford Stadium until 15 minutes after kickoff. Once the East Deck is full, these shuttles will begin running at the Intramural Fields.

Please note stadium gates open two (2) hours prior to kickoff. Return service will run until traffic control ends and normal traffic flow returns.

The Gillis Bridge, located along Sanford Drive between the stadium and the Tate Plaza, will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for home football games (including G-Day) beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Fridays.

Due to road closures in and around the stadium, there is not a drop-off location near the stadium. It is recommended that guests park at East Campus Deck or Intramural Fields and take the complimentary shuttle.

Hartman Fund Contributors: Please contact the UGA Athletic Association Ticket Office at 877-542-1231 or gatickets@sports.uga.edu to be added to the accessible parking waiting list. A copy (front and back) of a state-issued permit is required for participation. Season parking permits are issued to football season ticket holders based on the date received.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


Gates 2, 4, 6, and 8 are accessible for entering and exiting the stadium. Please note that any guest that has a ticket may enter through any of these gates.

Silver Dawgs ambassadors are available at all gates to assist guests who require a wheelchair, need assistance locating the accessible seating areas, or have any other accessibility needs.

Audio Accommodations


Closed captioning is available on multiple boards inside Sanford Stadium.

Elevators


Elevators are located at Sanford Stadium near Gate 2, Gate 4, Section 119, Gate 9 and Gate 10.

First Aid


First Aid locations:

  • A first aid tent near Gate 4A
  • West Endzone
  • Section 202 (Club Level)
  • Section 229 (Club Level)
  • Gate 7 (Upper Level)

Paramedics, nurses, respiratory therapists and physicians are stationed in all first aid rooms. First Aid lookout stations are located at the top of selected aisles in the lower level concourse. First Aid Dawg volunteers (wearing gray shirts) are located throughout the concourse.

Persons having any type of chronic medical problems are requested to leave their name and seat location with the First Aid personnel on duty at the Main Station in the West Endzone.

If assistance is needed with a health emergency, report the situation immediately to any of the stadium ushers, First Aid Dawg volunteers, or uniformed police officers.

Medical Bags


Guests with medical bags may enter through the Medical Bag Check at Gate 6 or Gate 10. The bag will be inspected by security before entrance.

Medical bags do not have to be clear or meet the size requirements as long as they are inspected at one of the medical gates.

Restrooms


Accessible restrooms are located on all concourses. Additional restrooms are underneath the West Endzone stands. Family restrooms can be accessed in the West Endzone, Reed Plaza, the south side of the 100-level concourse, the south side of the 300 level, and on the north side of the 600 level.

Sensory Accommodations


Sanford Stadium’s Sensory Room is located behind section 127 on the south side of the stadium and is open only when the stadium is open for events. The room is open to all guests and staff in need of a break from the excitement of the football game. Sensory room visitors can recharge in yogibo bean bag chairs or engage with the many activity panels or sensory tools. The room is monitored by an attendant during games with a check-in process and is available first come, first served.

Guests can check out a sensory kit in exchange for holding their ID from any of the First Aid stations or in the Sensory Room.

Sensory kits include:

  • Headphones
  • Marble Fidget
  • Noodle Fidget
  • ID Card

Parking


Accessible game day parking is available on a first come, first served basis in the S13 lot for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit. Overflow parking can be accommodated in front of Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall or the Rankin Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


Guests needing to access the dugout level or press level premium seating areas should use the elevator on the third base side of Rutherford Street. All other guests should use the first base side ramp that leads to the main home plate gate.

Elevators


An elevator is accessible from the third base side of Rutherford Street.

First Aid


A first aid room is located on the third base side of the main concourse where a medic is present. From the seating bowl, a guest in need of first aid attention can notify an usher for assistance.

Medical Bags


If a guest cannot bring their medical items in a clear bag, they may enter at the main gate where the bag will be inspected by a guest services representative. Medical bags do not have to be clear or meet any size requirements as long as the guest follows the instructions of the event staff.

Restrooms


Accessible restrooms are located on the first base and third base side of the concourse level and in the premium area levels. A family restroom is located on the third base side.

Parking


Accessible parking is available on a first come, first served basis in the Hoke Smith Annex lot off Smith Street for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit. Overflow parking can be accommodated in front of the Rankin Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


All entrances/exits into the Stegeman Coliseum concourse are fully accessible.

Seating


Please visit the tickets section for details on accessible seating for ticketed events (men’s and women’s basketball and gymnastics) in Stegeman Coliseum. For volleyball matches, accessible seating is available in sections A, B, C, L, N, V, and W.

Elevators


The Stegeman Coliseum elevator on the concourse at the Smith Street entrance may be used by guests to access the different areas of the arena.

First Aid


A first-aid room is located by Section NN (room 246). There is an ambulance on-site in the event of an emergency. If a guest needs medical attention from their seat, they should look for an event staff member who can help assist them.

Medical Bags


If a guest cannot bring their medical items in a clear bag, they may enter through the Medical Bag Check Gate at Gate A. The bag will be inspected by an event staff member. The medical bag does not have to be clear or meet the size requirements to enter the stadium as long as the guest enters the appropriate medical gate.

Restrooms


All restrooms throughout Stegeman Coliseum concourse are accessible.

Sensory Accommodations


Guests can find and check out a sensory kit in exchange for holding their ID during the game from the First Aid station.

Sensory kits include:

  • Headphones
  • Marble Fidget
  • Noodle Fidget
  • ID Card

Parking


Accessible parking is available at the venue on a first come, first served basis for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


The main entrance/exit for guests is located near the accessible parking spots.

First Aid


There is an ambulance on-site, along with an athletic trainer, should an emergency arise for a guest.

Medical Bags


As the equestrian complex does not have a clear bag policy, medical bags do not have to be clear or meet any size requirements but may be inspected by an event staff member.

Restrooms


Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located at the barn. If a guest needs assistance they are encouraged to locate an event staff member for help. Portable restrooms are located closer to the main venue but require steps.

Parking


Accessible parking is available in the front parking lot of the complex on a first come, first served basis for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


A ramp is available to reach the sidewalk and the main concourse.

Seating


Accessible seating is available in the lower seating area of the stands.

First Aid


Guests seeking medical assistance should locate an event staff member. There is an ambulance on site in the event of an emergency.

Medical Bags


If a guest cannot bring their medical items in a clear bag, they may enter at the main gate where the bag will be inspected by a guest services representative. The medical bag does not have to be clear or meet the size requirements to enter the stadium as long as the guest follows the instructions of the event staff.

Restrooms


Accessible restrooms are located underneath the press box on the main concourse.

Parking


Accessible parking is available in the front parking lot of the complex on a first come, first served basis for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


A ramp is available to reach the sidewalk and the main concourse.

Seating


Accessible seating is available in the lower seating areas along first and third base. accessible seating that can be accessed via elevator is available in the upper seating area.

Elevators


An elevator is available near the first base side of the concourse available for guests who have seating on the upper concourse.

First Aid


Guests seeking medical assistance should locate an event staff member. There is an ambulance on site in the event of an emergency.

Medical Bags


If a guest cannot bring their medical items in a clear bag, they may enter at the main gate where the bag will be inspected by an event staff member. The medical bag does not have to be clear or meet the size requirements to enter the stadium as long as the guest follows the instructions of the event staff.

Restrooms


Accessible restrooms are located underneath the soccer press box on the lower concourse.

Parking


Accessible parking is available in the East Campus Parking Deck on a first come, first served basis for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


To enter and exit the facility, guests should come in the main entrance of the Ramsey Center from the East Deck Parking Garage and turn left by the front desk.

Seating


Accessible seating is available at the spectator entrance level.

First Aid


An athletic trainer is available in the event of an emergency; guests should locate an event staff member for assistance.

Medical Bags


If a guest cannot bring their medical items in a clear bag, they may enter at the main gate where the bag will be inspected by a guest services representative. Medical bags do not have to be clear or meet any size requirements as long as the guest follows the instructions of the event staff.

Restrooms


Accessible restrooms and a family restroom are located on the main level of the Ramsey Center outside of the pool.

Parking


Accessible parking is available in the Carlton Street Parking Deck and Foley Field (S14) lot on a first come, first served basis for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


For guests needing an accessible entrance to enter or exit the outdoor courts, it is encouraged to use the gate closest to Foley Field to utilize the ramp leading to the grandstands. For the indoor courts, guests are encouraged to use the main entrance.

Seating


For the outdoor courts, accessible seating is available on the main level of the grandstands. For the indoor courts, accessible seating is available on the main concourse against the railing.

Elevators


When entering the indoor courts from the parking lot or parking deck, elevator access is available at the main entrance.

First Aid


Should a guest experience a medical emergency, an athletic trainer and police officer are available. Guests should locate an event staff member for assistance.

Medical Bags


There is not a clear bag policy, but guests may be subject to an inspection by a member of the event staff.

Restrooms


Accessible restrooms and a family restroom are located on the main level of the outdoor grandstands. In the indoor courts, accessible restrooms and a family restroom are located on the main concourse by the seating area.

Parking


Accessible parking is available on a first come, first served basis in the Hoke Smith Annex lot off Smith Street for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit. Overflow parking can be accommodated in front of Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall or the Rankin Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


The most accessible entrance/exit into the facility is located inside the Lumpkin Street primary gate.

Seating


Accessible seating is available in the lower seating area of stands.

First Aid


Guests seeking medical assistance should locate an event staff member. There is an ambulance on site in the event of an emergency.

Medical Bags


There is not a clear bag policy, but medical may be subject to an inspection by a member of the event staff.

Restrooms


There are accessible men’s and women’s restrooms located underneath the grandstand.

Parking


Accessible parking is available in the parking lot on a first come, first served basis for guests with a state-issued disability parking permit.

Accessible Entrances/Exits


Guests should utilize the ramp located in between the Boyd Golf Center and the Golf Course Clubhouse to access space by the ninth and eighteenth greens.

Seating


Accessible seating is available in the bleachers located at the ninth and eighteenth greens.

Guests may rent a golf cart ($20 fee) for transportation around the course.

First Aid


The medical tent servicing the tournament may be utilized should an emergency arise. If a guest needs assistance, please contact the nearest event staff team member.

Medical Bags


There is not a clear bag policy, but guests still may be subject to an inspection by a member of the event staff.

Restrooms


Accessible men’s and women’s restrooms are located inside of the Golf Course Clubhouse
