Beginning in April of 2017, Georgia Athletics underwent 16 months of construction at Sanford Stadium on the West Endzone Project.

The project covered 120,000 total square feet of new and improved space. Enhancements included a new home locker room for the Bulldogs, a space to host and entertain prospects on game day, improvements to restroom and concession areas below the bridge, and a new scoreboard and upper plaza. The project’s estimated cost was $63 million and was largely funded by donor support through The Magill Society.

“This extension, renovation, and expansion project has made Sanford Stadium, already one of the finest college football environments, even better,” said President Jere W. Morehead. “It is one more step that the University of Georgia is taking to reach new heights of excellence across all our athletic programs, and I want to thank each and every donor who contributed to this important project.”
